About Nereida (Neddy) Perez | Global Vice President and ChiefDiversity Officer, Ingersoll Rand Company
Nereida (Neddy) Perez is a globally recognized diversity and inclusion practitioner with more than 20 years of experience working with Fortune Global and U.S. 500 corporations. She is responsible for developing and leading the company’s Progressive, Diversity and Inclusion (PDI) efforts. Neddy's background includes front line and executive experience in Human Resources, Diversity Management, Corporate Relations and Internal Communications.
Prior to joining Ingersoll Rand, she worked with a number of major global companies in the creation and expansion of their diversity efforts. These include National Grid, KPMG, Sodexo and Royal Dutch Shell (Shell Oil). She has worked in the UK, Netherlands, and Latin America.
Born in Havana, Cuba she has received numerous awards and global recognition for her contributions to advancing the work of diversity and inclusion. She has also provided her expertise to a variety of non-profit organizations to create programs that empower people and remove organizational barriers to advancement. Neddy is one of the principals behind the creation of STEMConnector.org, a web portal that serves as a clearinghouse for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math initiatives and programs. She also developed and implemented Shell Oil’s Digital Divide Initiative, a program which focuses on closing the gap in underserved communities by providing access to technology. Neddy is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University and holds a Masters Degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Florida.
